WJ-8711A Watkins Johnson radio fraud ALERT-eBay seller WILBERTSLAKESIDE

Attempted fraud. Request that buyers circumvent eBay & PayPal & send $1700 by Western Union to Robert Miller, London.

Beware of an eBay scam whereby the seller tells prospective buyers NOT to bid or use the eBay email system and to contact the seller outside of eBay directly by email so a deal and payment can be arranged outside of eBay or PayPal - using Western Union. The seller then emails the buyer a fraudent invoice pretending to come from eBay (comes from seller) and instructs the buyer to pay the seller using Western Union money transfer.
The scam was reported to eBay fraud dept who has since removed US registered trader WILBERTSLAKESIDE. The US seller instructs the buyer to send funds by Western Union to a "Robert Miller in 24 Knox Street, LONDON, W1H 1FS"

I have just had exactly the same experience. The guy listed a Watkins Johnson 8711A on ebay with a link to a fake website. He then sent me an invoice purporting to come from Ebay asking for $1300 to be sent to:
Kendall Miller, 2 Shaftesbury Avenue, London, W1D 5ER, United Kingdom. He wanted Payment via Moneygram.
I did not take note of the Ebay seller, but his account seems to have been removed after I reported the listing.
