www.autopartswarehouse.com Moses Resores, Supervisor Won't Refund Monies For A Returned Part Carson, California
28th of Nov, 2011 by User970766
On 9/30/11 I placed an order w/ autopartswarehouse.com, ordering 2 oxygen sensors at a total cost of $152.07. I must let it be known that when I placed this order, the receipt that I received (print-out) did not show the exact description of the parts that I had actually ordered, as it showed on the description before I placed the order. Also the order date that showed up on the print-out was incorrect, and had the order date as being 9/1/11, when in the fact the actual date ordered was 9/30/11. Those were the first two red flags that I picked up on w/ this company. On the day that the oxgyen sensors arrived, I noticed that one sensor was not the brand name (Bosch) which I had ordered, so I contacted the company on 10/6/11. I found out that the brand name part (Denso) that I received, cost considerably less than the actual part that I paid for, and had not received. (I must add that the customer service rep was very confused in knowing what parts I had actually ordered.) She also gave me incorrect information as to whether the oxygen sensors that I ordered were BEFORE or AFTER parts. This experience led me to believe that the company was attempting to decieve me by shipping me a part that cost much less than the part I actually paid for. At that time the customer service rep. issued me a RMA number in order for me to return the incorrect part w/o any cost to me, and stated that the correct part would be sent to me w/o delay. I returned the incorrect part to the company, and did receive the correct part (Bosch) that I had originally ordered. (NOTE: The cost of the part that I was sent cost around $42.00, and the cost of the part that I paid for but hadn't been sent was $110.77, so if I hadn't noticed that the brand name was different from what I had ordered, and called about it, the company would have made a profit of over $60 bucks.) On 10/7/11 I called the company again to inquire about certain information that I was given the night before. During that phone conversation, I was informed that the parts that I had been sent were in fact both AFTER oxygen sensors. I had placed an order for a BEFORE and a AFTER oxygen sensor. At that time the customer service rep. issued me a RMA number in order for me to return the incorrect part w/o any cost to me, and stated that the correct part would be sent to me w/o delay. I returned the incorrect part to the company, and did receive the correct part (Bosch) that I had originally ordered. Once I took my vehicle to my mechanic for him to utilize both oxygen sensors, that I was assured by the customer rep that were exact fits for my vehicle, my mechanic placed my vehicle on the lift and told me that neither oxygen sensor was the correct sensors for my vehicle. I immediately contacted autopartswarehouse.com to request 2 separate RMA numbers so that I could return both oxygen sensors. After I requested the RMA numbers, on 10/17/11 I received an email from the company stating " . . . . . However , we need you to please elaborate on why the part is a "wrong part" and how was it "not fitting". I was very surprised, because this was the first time that I had received such an email after requesting a RMA number, since I had already explained when completing the RMA form what the problem was. I responded to the email and elaborated on what my mechanic had told me. I finally received RMA numbers and shipped both oxygen sensors to the company. I have since received the refund for the cost of one oxgyen sensor that was returned. I still have not received a refund for the oxygen sensor (costing $110.77), that was returned to this company on 11/8/11. I have since contacted this company on the following dates, and been told the following information in referene to my refund of $110.77. 11/15/11 - Called and was told " . . . Will refund you in 2 business days."
11/18/11 - Called and was told " . . . give us over the weekend or until Monday, and this will be taken care of."
11/23/11 - Called and spoke w/ supervisor, Randolph, who said that he would call me back, and never did.
11/23/11 - Called back, since I hadn't heard back from supervisor, Randolph, and spoke w/ Lowie, who told me that I would receive an email informing me of my refund. That never happened!
11/29/11 - Called and again was told that someone would call me back. Today is 11/29/11 almost a month since I returned this part to autopartswarehouse.com. As you can see by all the correspondence, and untruthfully information that I have been given, that this company has no intentions of refunding me my money, though they received the (unopened plastic) part back on 11/8/11. I have tried to be patient w/ this company, and I am tired of all the "run around" talk that I've been given. This company is attempting to rip me off by holding onto my money ($110.77), and the returned part, so this is the reason why I am reporting their unsavory business practices to you.
