YCP NETWORK
YCP Network ILD Teleservices; fax service Fax service added to my phone bill without my knowledge Internet
1st of Jun, 2011 by User485052
I pay my phone bill online and in fact, have set up automatic deductions from my checking account. I recently received a letter stating my payment was delinquent and they shut my phone off. Frustrated, I started digging in to the process to make sure I set it up correctly etc and then I started looking at my online phone bill. This is when I noticed a third party provider billing from ILD Teleservices, Inc. for $16.04 a month starting January 2011. It is now June 2011. I found a number for ILD Teleservices, which actually is routed to a YCP Network. 800-433-4518. I was told this was a fax service attached to my phone so I wouldn't require a physical fax machine in my home. With my cell phone as my primary phone, I barely want the landline, do you think I want a fax as well? They told me I signed up for it but wouldn't tell me where I signed up for it or give me any information about what I agreed to. YCP Network agreed to cancel the service and would only reimburse me for the current billing. Now I need to talk to my phone company to see if they will reimburse me for more. Honestly, this is a total scam via the internet. Be careful in checking out websites or signing up for websites because they take your information and this is exactly what happens. It happened with me when I placed a JcPenny order and clicked on a link to "save 10% more on my order". In order to save, I had to agree to a bunch of other websites that I didn't want. Even though I stopped, they still had my information.

This exact same thing happened to me and in fact I was just on the phone with them today and told them I NEVER signed up for any fax service and I wanted it stopped right away. Just as with you they said I signed up for it 01/2011 but they would cancel it now and credit me with 3 months of payments. I told them I wanted to see what paperwork or web site gave them my info and they said they would email me the info. As soon as I got off the phone I called verizon (my service provider) and told them I never signed up for any fax service and that 4 years ago when I went through this is MCI without my consent I told Verizon I never signed up to switch and never would. They put a block on my number so it would not happen "ever again" so I asked them what happend to the block. I was told the block was still in place but only covered telephone service providers not "3rd party service providers" and they would put a block on this also so that nothing could be switched or added to my phone bill without me calling Verizon on the phone and requesting it. Now I just have to wait and see how soon I get the credit and the charge is taken off my phone. I did get a confirmation number from the fax service to give to Verizon to make sure I get credit for it.
