Zadek Ramowski is a guy that I’ve hired as a chef in my restaurant in Ottawa, when I was looking through his CV he looked like a great candidate, loads of experience, great skills, several trustworthy recommendations. But 4 months into his employment I’ve started to doubt things that were written in his CV. He was far less qualified than I thought he was, it took more time for him to learn the menu and even after he started to work on his own without the help of my older chefs he was messing up big time... I’ve started to receive complaints from customers on a regular basis which forced me to look through his CV once again. I called his previous work places asking about Zadek but it turned out that they’ve never provided him with the recommendation letters and this guy just made that up to get a job. I’ve called him to my office straight away and asked for explanation but he couldn’t give any... Now his job position is advertised once again and I will fire him as soon as I have another candidate. Make sure you check all the info that people write in their CVs, it can save lots of time and nerves for you.
