| My roommate is a great grandmother. She was contacted by ACCOUNTS RECOVERY CORPORATION and told she would be sent to court if she did not pay an outstanding MSA Medical Services Association or MSP Medical Services Plan bill. This puzzled both of us as she does not get enough on her pension to ever have owed MSA or MSP any money. She had been quite ill and failed the past few years to file her income tax. The people at ACCOUNTS RECOVERY CORPORATION IN VICTORIA B.C. Were told she did now owe MSP or MSA any money. Yet to this day, after telling them every time not to phone us back we still get up to three phone calls a week from bill collectors on this. Kevin is the most persistent. I have told him not to phone us but he does over and over again. Freida got so upset over the calls she walked out of the apartment and disappeared for a month. I honestly thought that she had jumped off a bridge she was so freaked out. They threatened to have her go to court and pay a lot of court costs if they did not get $200 immediately in the mail. She was desperate to get them to allow her the time necessary to get her income tax files processed (by then she had filed her income tax, she was waiting for her notice of assessment form back to prove she never owed the money.) Accounts Recovery Corporation extorted the $200 from Freida plane and simple. She finally got her T451 E (11) statements in the mail to prove she had never owed any money to MSA or MSP as she does not even make 10K a year in income. She went to MSP or the MSA office and proved she did not owe money with the forms. She contacted ACCOUNTS RECOVERY CORPORATION in Victoria B.C. with her forms proving she never owed the money and asked for her $200 back. Accounts Recovery Corporation have never returned her the $200 THEY OWE HER. To make matters worse they won't quit phoning the house. Her health is so fragile now I can not even tell her they phoned. I have asked them every time to fix this, give her back her money and never to phone us again, but they keep phoning anyway. I'm tired of this myself, as I have a hard time walking and getting to the phone myself and to be interupted from a nap or your reading to go answer the phone and hear Kevin on then other end of the line demanding to pick on Freida is more than I can stand. This fellow is a bully and and extortionist picking on the weak and elderly. He knows I have had all I can take of his phone calls too. I am almost to the point of having to ask Freida to find another place to live, and I doubt she can do this. It will make her homeless. But I may have to do this to keep Kevin from phoning and messing up my life too. - Roommate who has had enough, and seen too much suffering. |

| wow! this is great information, just got a call myself saying i owe 2600 - i have never been notified by MSP about my debt, and am quite sure I was covered during the times they said I owed for. The guy said I could pay through them, so IF i owe, that's how i'll be paying. Don't ever give any money to ARC is the lesson here folks. |
