They sent out a silver tongued devil. He started the cleaning, he sprayed afoam cleaner in my unit outside and let my unit run for 15 minutes. He told me the reason it was foaming is because it was dirty and wasnt able to breathe.

Now I have Spring and Fall services to my unit every year, and this was the first time ever using them, so i knew the system wasnt as dirty as he said.

Well anyways, after letting my unit run for 15 minutes with this foam cleaner in my handler outside, he went inside and the coils had frosted over, it didnt dawn on me at the time, that if the unit cant breathe then the coils would freeze.

So now the devil comes out of him. I am 80 years old, and I'm clueless to people like him and how to deal with them. He told me that my unit wascasuing harm to the enviroment, telling me that my unit had a freon leak and would have to report me to the epa.

And by doing so it would cost me thousands of dollars plus i would have to buy a new unit or if I take care of the issue I could lose my home. Again, I am 80 years old on a fixed income and the salesman is telling me I could lose my home frightened me.

So I agreed to a new unit. That is when the nightmare got worse. Same day, they sent someone over and ripped out my old unit as I was making dinner. The next day they put in the new unit, but it wasnt cooling.

They failed to pull a permit on the job til 2 months after they put in the new unit. They didnt clean the vents, they didnt clean out the area where they put the new unit, so it went in over 8 years of dirt.

They didnt put in new ducts, they didnt run new lines and then when I complained about the unit not cooling, the managers reply was "An air conditioner is not suppose to cool your home, just humitify the air to make your home feel cooler." and then tried to make me feel good about his answer, he offered me the air filter that came with the unit for free.

Someone then came out to repair the unit, didnt understand the wiring had to look over the schematics, and the way it cools now is cool heat, cold air. The handler outside freezes up at night and when it shuts off sounds like a freight train coming through the wall.

I complained about that as well, the manager said that is normal for the handler to sound like that.

I had another company come out and look it over. This company had gave me a bottom line. If the unit continues to run as is, then it wont be worth the metal used to make it. Again I purchased the unit in May of 2010, it is January of 2011.
