My Mother died September 3rd of 2011 and her house has been empty since then. In the mean time I have received two water bills over $80. Today 11/13/2011 I received a notice of a rate increase hearing 400 miles from my home in Tallahassee, Florida. I can't believe this. This must be the Mafia. There is something wrong here and we all need to do something about it. Am I the only who complains? The water bill has become higher than the electric bill. I complained and they were as sympathetic as a robber. They said they were allowed to do this because of the public service commission granted them the rate increase about a year ago. I can see that they don't care how high the water bills go. My Mom had one water bill over $300. For years it used to be less than $20. They have a monopoly and they know it. How did they get in charge all the way up in Pennsylvania? I am trying to sell the house. I had the water turned off today.
