Sent in my renewal application to become a Florida Notary on June 21, 2011. Received a call from a lady on June 23 to confirm my credit card number for $85.26. I called on August 29, to inquire on when I would receive my notary stamp and the lady replied 7-10 days. I called again on September 26th and the phone is transfered to a cell phone with a voicemail that is full. I called the state of Florida and they verified that that had not received my renewal application and fees. Metri, Fort Lauderdale, FL

What I do not understand is that this man did the same thing in Pennsylvania in 2008 for violations of the Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law by Atlantic Bonding and Zinman for failing to provide, and in some cases, provide in an untimely manner, notary packages purchased by Pennsylvania notaries. Yet he was able to come to Florida and do the exact same thing here. Why and how did he slip through the cracks here? INCREDIBLE!

He got me too... on August 8th he received my check and cashed it. I have yet to receive my notary status. He never even submitted it to the state. I did receive an email from a Jessica Fowler (supposedly someone from his office), that said, I would have it in another 2 weeks, but they don't answer my calls or respond to my emails. I have contacted the Governors office, they had me contact the Division of Consumer Affairs https://csapp.800helpfla.com/CSPublicApp/Complaints/FileComplaint.aspx . I'm going after him. I sent my check to a PO Box, as I'm sure others have. Doesn't this constitute Mail fraud? Granted it was only $85 that he got me for... but this A-hole needs to be responsible for his actions. If you go by 2763 East Atlantic Blvd which is the store front they're supposedly using to make it look like a reputable business, no one is ever there.
