A woman whom police described as “Estafa Queen” was arrested by police while shopping yesterday morning.
Bai Putri Nuro Salam A.Sema daughter of Cotabato City vice mayor Muslimin Sema was arrested by operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Cotabato City.
A warrant issued by the Municipal Trial Court was used in the arrest.
At least seven complainants appeared at the CIDG office to lodge a complaint against Bai Putri Nuro Salam A.Sema daughter of Muslimin Sema and Bai Sandra Sinsuat Sema.
After the arrest , Bai Putri Nuro Salam A.Sema was brought to the agency’s office in Cotabato City. She declined media interviews.
The court recommended P6,000,000 for her temporary liberty.
A complainant from mother barangay and poblacion 1, alleged that Bai Putri Nuro Salam A.Sema failed to pay her P7.5 million for the jewelry that she bought from her in 2010.
Another female complainant said Bai Putri Nuro Salam A.Sema bought jewelry from her worth P9,000,000.
The woman said she later discovered that the check of Bai Putri Nuro Salam A.Sema had no sufficient funds.
