Boost Mobile Plus Boost Mobile Providing False Information and Refusing Returns, Unprofessional Conduct, Ripoff Long Beach, California

I’ve had the most horrible experience from this store and Boost Mobile. I came into the store wanting to get a Boost Mobile account with an existing unlocked phone I had bought overseas. I asked if this would be possible and I was told that yes, I could with the sim card which I purchased. At no point was I told verbally that I could not return the product for any reason, but assuming that the product would work to begin with, I would not have foreseen an issue anyway. (I have witness who was with me who can vouch that I was told it would work, and was not told it would not work). When I tried to activate the sim card I found out that this was not possible without an actual Boost Mobile phone! Basically the cashier lied to me. So I called Boost Mobile’s corporate customer service and, apparently, corporate is such a lame duck that they can’t even guarantee the same experience of someone buying their products online and in store. If you buy a sim card online you have a 30-day guarantee to be able to return it but no such guarantees are available if you buy them in store. That makes absolutely no sense! So they advised me to contact the store. I spoke directly to the owner and not only did he refuse to take it back when the product itself has not been tampered with but he was also very rude and very unprofessional; after a horrible conversation, all he did was give me attitude that says “well… too bad for you” and then hangs up and refuses to answer again. Calling Boost Mobile’s corporate customer service again, I spoke to another representative who said that he would advocate for me and contact the store before shortly being disconnected and not being called back. So I called back again and demanded speaking to a manager after realizing the incompetence of the person on the other line in understanding the frustrating situation. Again, not only was the manager
incompetent as well but also extremely unhelpful and only confirmed to me that what the associate had said was incorrect and that they had no authority to call any branch. So you’re telling me everyone’s just been giving me false statements all this time from your stores to your online costumer service? Way
to go in inspiring customer assurance. I will also be contacting my bank to dispute the charge as fraudulent. If Boost Mobile or Visa want to retain their respective integrities, they should suspend this franchise’s affiliations with both their services. At the end of the day, the amount wasn't much but what mattered was how horrible the experience was. Plus no one wants holding on to a product that doesn't work.
