I'll try to explain this short and sweet. Recently rented through Budget rent a car in Pasco Wa. Vehicle was fine and not problems with it. The night prior to returning the vehicle, approx 15 miles away, I filled the fuel tank and then checked into the hotel to stay the night. At 0505 in the morning, I marked fuel as being full, and the mileage and returned the keys and rental agreement in the supplied envelope.

OK, a couple days later, I seen a charge for $16.11 for fuel on my credit card. I called Pasco Wa where I rented it and they said,"since I returned it prior to normal operating hours, they needed a copy of the gas receipt showing I filled it up". ThisI supplied to them via fax on that day. (who the heck still uses faxes,,,come on, get with the times) Well, here it is 6 days later and the charge was still on my card. After 7 times of not being able to get in touch with them in Pasco during "Nml business hours) I needed to talk to someone regionally. Finally talked to a customer service rep, bless her heart as she had to hear me get rather upset. She said that she'd credit the charge herself.

We as customers SHOULD NOT HAVE TO deal with this crooked policy. Here's an idea, look at the fuel gage. Pretty simple eh. The reason they do this is because it's a GIMMICK and they make hundreds of thousands of dollars ripping people off.

Please folks, if you have a chance to voice your words, let people know about this terribly crooked policy that BUDGET RENTAL CAR uses to screw people out of their money.
