Do not hire this man no matter what he tells you. It will be a lie. Mr. Chappell was recommended to me to install a drainage system on the side of my house to run from the back to the front of the house to prevent water from standing around the foundation. I advanced him money on several occasions to purchase supplies for the job to include top soil, mulch and stones to be put in the trenches he dug. He made up one wild excuse after another to defend why he wouldn't come up with the receipts to include he left them in a girlfriend's car and that she was stalking her. Because the water problem proved not to be done correctly, I had to hire another company to come in and remove all of the hoses, soil, etc. and fix the area. At that time I discovered that no stones were put into the trenches, but Mr. Chappell insisted that they had been delivered and that I should remember it. After repeated phone calls made to Mr. Chappell by myself and two other people, Mr. Chappell agreed to meet with two other contractors at my house. When challenged on his faulty work, he flew into several verbal rages including hurling a racial slur at one of the contractors, all of which proved to be quite disturbing. During this meeting, he agreed to refund me money for the gutters he didn't clean and for the stones that weren't installed. He has yet to refund me that money or provide the receipts for money advanced for supplies which amounted to several thousand dollars. This artful liar should be taken off the streets for any contracting work and certainly should not be allowed in any church as a preacher. Besides his lies and shoddy work, his verbal rages make him an individual who should be avoided at all cost.
