I worked at Chicago Joe's for about a month. Business was really down there and the place was being mismanaged. I stopped working there and was still owed my last check. The manager said she would mail it to me but I never received it. When I called to ask about it the owner and manager were never there. In January of this year I need my W-2 forms from the restaurant to complete my taxes. I received the forms in the mail a week late and with my last check. No where on the check did it say cash within 90 days, so I cashed it. About a week later the amount on the check was debited from my account and I also had to pay a returned check fee. The restaurant sent me a check from a closed account. I am trying to get them to compensate me for the both the returned check fee and the amount I was owed originally.
