First of all, I can not begin to explain how much money and trouble this company has cost us. The first time they came out and evaluated our pool we were informed that all of our equipment was in great condition and would be good til the end of the summer. With that being said, we went ahead and paid for a green pool service to get it up and running for the summer time. Once he started this service, he informed us that all of the plumbing was done incorrectly and needed to be replaced. So, we allowed him to do those repairs as well. Shortly after this occured our pool began to turn green. At this time we were paying for the weekly service for Doug to come out and clean our pool and treat it with chemicals. We were scheduled to be serviced on Wednesdays and there were times when he would not show up or come a few days late without any call. He was supposed to be paid monthly, but would show up after a week or two weeks requesting payment. At one time, he showed up at our house at 9:00 at night wanting a check. We have children, and they are normally in bed at this time. It is unacceptable to come to my house at that time wanting money for work you have not completed. After the pool continued to stay green for a week or so, Doug informed us that we needed a sand filter change and in-line chlorinator. Before spending this money we asked him several times if this would resolve anymore concerns that we have and he said "Absolutely, your pool will be clear all summer and your pump is in great shape and will last another few years" So, again we allowed him to do these repairs. He replaced the sand filter, tank and in-line chlorinator. Our pool stayed clear for about a week and then began to turn green again. We then decided that we had enough of this money spending with someone that doesn't know what they are doing. So, we contacted another pool company and informed Doug that we were discontinuing his services. Once the new pool guy came out he informed us that it would be approximately $500.00 to get the pool up and running right. He told us the plumbing that Doug had completed was completely wrong and was putting back pressure on our pump that was eventually going to burn our pump up. We then contacted Doug and made him aware that we were very upset with what this second opinion was telling us and he said if we allowed him to continue to service our pool that he would make sure it is perfect. So, out of our own stupidity, we gave him a second chance. Two days later, he shows up and tells us our pump is burnt up. Imagine that! The pump he told us was not very old at all and still had atleast a few years left out of it is burnt up. So obviously he did do the plumbing wrong and it burnt up the pump. I explained to him that we were having a get together at our house with several people and needing the pool clear for the next day. So, I wrote him a check for a pump and he left with my old pump and was to return an hour or so later with a new pump. 7 hours later he returns with a pump for a pool much bigger than ours that requires a 30 amp breaker and our house has 20 amp breakers. I explained to him that that was not going to work, that I needed a pump like I had. He then left to get another pump, and never returned. He also will not answer our phone calls or emails. When he first left our house with the check that morning he went to a local check cashing place and cashed the check I wrote him for a pump. So now we have spent a ton of money and have a pool with no pump that is green! This company is the worst excuse for a pool company I have ever heard of. I contacted another local company in hopes that they could fix our pool and he made me aware that this Doug guy has ruined several pools in the Golden Triangle area and owes a ton of customers money. My advise to anyone is if you see a piece of junk Ford truck or van in your driveway and they are advising they are a dependable, knowledgable and reliable. THEY ARE LYING!
