DirecTV
DirecTV Took My Money Without My Permission. Internet
16th of Dec, 2010 by User783507
We have gotten DirecTV in June 2010. DirecTV and myself agreed on a bill that would be less than $100.00, and I had to pay the first bill on July 5, 2010 in the amount of $79.88. I made a payment on August 3, 2010 in the amount of $77.88. In the end of August 2010, they was stating that I was a month behind in my payments. I had to call DirecTV on the end of August, and they said I have not made a payment. I had to call my bank and, they said the check that I wrote for DirecTV had cleared. I was going to make a payment on September 3, 2010, but I had to call DirecTV to find out how much to pay, because the bill was not right, and they told me to pay $72.48. At the end of September 2010, I received another bill for double the amount and I had to call again to DirecTV. I talked to Customer Service and, that was when I came to realize that I was paying a month behind each month. I tried to explain to Customer Service that DirecTV had misplaced my August payment, and that was their issue. When I could not get things handled with them, I asked to speak with their Supervisor. Again, I was told I was a month behind in my payments. After two hours of being on the phone with DirecTV, I finally had to hang up. The next day I called DirecTV again, trying to plead with them to find my lost payment. They made me feel like I was trying to get to get over on them. After two more hours of being on the phone with DirecTV, talking to three different people, I decided that DirecTV had broken their end of the contract that we agreed on, I had no other choice than to leave DirecTV. When DirecTV had broke their contract with me, I immediately took DirecTV out and had Time Warner Cable installed. Two weeks later, a gentleman from DirecTV had called me and asked me why I left DirecTV. I explained the reason why I left DirecTV to him. He informed me that my missing payment had been found and my account was now accurate. I explained that I had DirecTV taken out and Time Warner Cable installed. Eventually, we had gotten off the phone. On December 15, 2010, I checked my bank account, and ended up finding that that DirecTV had went into my account and took $348.60 out of my account, and I had to call DirecTV to find out why they did. I found out that the reason why they did was because $130.00 early disconnection fee, and the rest was my remaining bill which I dispute. My complaint is #1,why shouldnt DirecTV be responsible for there end of the contract? #2, why should a customer have to call them every month to explain the mistakes they made? #3, why after going through all I went through with DirecTV should I be made to pay an early disconnection fee? Then to have them go into my account and take my money as though they did nothing wrong is outrages.

Thank You!
