Consumer reviews and reports on scam companies, bad products and services
Education Fraud
11th of Apr, 2011 by bloke
The man to blame is Michael Weinsoff the CEO of Webnet Holdings (aka Internet Advertising Group). Web net runs many companies such as Degree Search USA, Lead Star Network, Roadway To College, College Media Corp and who knows how many other companies.

These companies run ad sites for colleges. If you visit one of them and put in your contact info you're screwed. Your info then gets passed to callcenters. They will contact you to see if you want to go school. The problem is these callcenter people are pressured to make their numbers. That is, get you to say "Yes". So they will do everything they can to get you to agree. Even call you a hundred times if they need to.

They will pawn and sell off your information to third-parties. They will even go as far as to fill out information "on your behalf" even though you did NOT consent. Its a highly highly questionable business practice.
