Elavon bogus set up fee's Knoxville,, Tennessee

IRS passed federal law for company to report total yearly amounts that they process for companies. Elavon wants to set up interent account that will let you login and view, they are charging Merchants a one time setup fee of $59.00 for your 2011 YTD that the IRS is mandating them to do. However, they have to also send you a report in January. Whether you want to use this internet service or not they will deduct $59.00 from your account and you have nothing to say about it. I'm sorry this is wrong --- they get enough money out of us. They take a percentage of the total sales (including state taxes --- monies that we don't keep --- we have to turn that in quarterly to IRS) What wrong with that picture as a whole ????

I posted a complaint about this on the BBB web site and got a response back fairly quick. The response was was just a bunch of banker talk that they had probably word smithed in advance to justify their theft. This is a white collar hold-up without a gun. I hope everone takes a little time to voice their concern about these theives. I wish the right lawyer would get this and run with it. Maybe a class action law suit. Companies like Elavon is what's wrong with our world today. When I spoke to Elavon about the crime, Mischka, a SRS specialist, told me that they have about 400, 000 customers, (the web says over a million global) and all were charged this fee. By her account alone, that's $23, 600, 000.00 in just one month, maybe just one day. What a crime.
