Elite Travel Services Time Share Sale, Time Share Rentals orlando, Nationwide

This company "Elite Travel Services" solicited me over the phone and their website suggests they have a partnership with Travelocity which I highly doubt. Mr. Charles Lawrence (aka Chuck) spoke very quickly. He had a request from a "Mexican America" business man and was booking all these rooms at a time share resort for three weeks over Cinco De Mayo. Chuck tried to make it sound like he knew what Mexican resort package I have but I am not sure if he actually knew. Like I said, Chuck spoke very fast. I actually had him to slow down and repeat. Once, I wrapped my head around what he was offering me ($2400 x 12 weeks or 1 BR rooms=$28,800 ), I smelled a scam. Chuck did know how the resort worked though. He was right when he explained that it had all 1BR + 1BTH rooms. He insisted I had a 2BR time share and that I had 2 weeks and 1 banked week. He also said I had 3 floating weeks. Therefore, he said a 2BR for 6 weeks was equal to a 1BR for 12 weeks and his company was willing to pay me $2400 per week for 12 weeks or (12) 1BR rooms. I actually stopped at this point and asked him who his company was and how he came to call me. I was unclear if he was with the property or the company I bought the time share with or what. At this point he assured me I was a current client of Elite Travel Services. I said I wasn't sure but at this point I was certain I wasn't. I just wanted to find out where this process was leading. Chuck said, "contracts... never get to his desk unless you are a current client of Elite...and that a Mr. Jackson or Mr. Anderson would call me in the next morning with answers." "I'll get to the bottom of this." Chuck said valiantly LOL. Sure enough Mr. Jackson called me the next day confirming that "I" wanted to get my enrollment number." This is when the bait and switch happened. It turns out I wasn't enrolled after all. They had my information because I had done a "Test Ad" through a "Mr. Rivera..." he went on. Mr. Jackson even took the time to read through fakeass paperwork about this "Test Ad" I had run. Along the way, he then tried to feel me out by throwing out dollar amounts for the enrollment. $6000, $4800, etc...I didn't respond at all. Mr. Jackson said since they already had the reservation (remember the $28,800 they were going to pay me for my time share weeks/rooms), he wanted to see what he could do about this standard marketing fee. I let him find out whatever he wanted but I knew what was coming. They wanted me to pay the $4800 fee and get it out of the way. By the time they were done with their predatory game, they were tactfully suggesting they were just trying to help me. Beware of this tactic!!

Thank you so very much for this info, my husband and I were approached this week by Elite Travel Services, claiming that they had a potential renter for our timeshare in Mexico. Same $$ amounts were quoted etc.
Both my husband and myself are very aware of timeshare scams, unfortunately we have learned the hard way. Having paid several hundred dollars to have other so called timeshare rental service companies with no rentals forthcoming. To date, I know of NO ONE that has paid one of these services that has ACTUALLY rented a timeshare.
The bottom line...if you own a timeshare do not spend ONE CENT more to anyone to rent your timeshare for you. Keep your money and use it to pay next years maintenance.

thanks again

I received a call yesterday with many of the same details described above - a business man was buying up weeks for the Daytona 500. He was leaving town on Saturday so things had to be done by Friday (2 days). We were not clients and but apparently "a secretary who is no longer with the company" dropped the ball and sent our information through. Since we were up against the deadline, they would "gut" the commission out of the regular enrollment and only charge $2, 726. In 6 weeks we would receive a check for $21, 000 (4 weeks x $5, 250 per week). This was also suspicious since we only have 2 banked weeks. This set off the "too good to be true" alarms and I knew it was time for some research. I'm glad that I found this site via Google and read the comments. Thank you for your very valuable service. I received a call and they wanted to buy our Wyndham points for a Nascar owner who was buying 20 million points, they would pay 9 cents for each point, I then asked about points we had with RCI and they said they could use those also, so the amount we would get would be around $18, 000 (ha, ha), so they faxed me over an agreement which looked fine, I called Don Chambers (the conciere) and asked when we would get the money and he said in a month or less, I then asked if we would have to pay anything and he said no, so I faxed the agreement back to him, he then said he would forward it to his legal dept., I then received a call from Randy Johnson asking if we where members with them and I said no, he then said he could enroll us for $4, 200, I told him we where not going to pay that. He called me again and said he could lower that price to $2, 200, again I told him we where not going to pay that, he then said that I had told someone in his office back in May that I would sign up with them if they got me a renter, and that I should have told them back then that I would not sign up, I ended up hanging up on him, he was getting NASTY. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS!

I received a call from a Charlene Banks with Elite Travel Services and they wanted to rent my Wyndham points for a Nascar owner who was lookingt to get 10 million points for Feburary 2012 and pay 9 cents for each point. She also told me I would receive about $20, 000.00. They emailed me an agreemehnt which looked fine. I then went to Google to do the reaserch as this sounds to good to be true and found out as i figured it was. So I will not sign and return the agreement. I did receive a call back from Charlene Banks to confirm I did receive the agreement. I told yes I did but I had Googled a scam alert and would not follow thru.

Scam Scam Scam, I am so glad this site was here. My story is exactly like Terii Little's that is further down the comments list. They called my wife and tried to make an impulse buyer out of her and used the NASCAR story about our Wyndham points. They hassled her over and over in order to make her pay before the weekend. It doesn't make sense and too good to be true. They want you to believe them about a big deal and after you pay their "service fee" they will state that the deal didn't go through. Then they'll say, "since you've paid us; we will do what we can to get you another offer." So all you did was pay for a service that you were not looking for and did not make any money yourself. DO NOT FALL for this!!!. Pardon my French but F**k these A**holes!!!
