Entrust Bankcard UnitedBank Scammed Mesa, Arizona
5th of May, 2011 by User142571
Beware: the credit card processing outfit Entrust Bankcard and their affiliate UnitedBank charge hidden fees. Our small retail business was hit twice with annual fees. We were told we have two accounts, one when swiping a credit card and another when keying in the credit card at our retail establishment. UnitedBank has debited our bank account with miscellaneous unsubstantiated fees and does it twice each time. They do this at their will without any consultation with us. They call these debits the Hospitality Tax Credit Act. We are locked into a five-year lease for the tiny credit card swiper and even the lease fees for the machine were misrepresented. There is an insurance requirement of $500,000 on the machine or you pay their insurance. Another hidden cost. (Swiper value: $400) Beware when signing up. The Entrust savings may not materialize because of their hidden fee structure. Yet another bank you cannot trust.
