Extreme Fitness practices consumer fraud on a grand scale. In addition to the numerous examples cited on this site, you can also look at In short, once they have your billing information, whether it be credit card or a bank account, they will continue to charge it whether you owe them money or not. They did it to me, but I look at all my statements carefully and notified my credit card company immediately that these weren't authorized. And when the credit card company tried to block them, Extreme did an end run around their 'blocks' and charged my card again! This despite the fact I let Extreme know numerous times in writing and on the phone that they had to stop. The only way to deny them access is to pay off the card and close the account, or go to your bank and get a few account number. It's inconvenient, but that's what you have to do. I would warn anyone to never join this club, under any circumstances. If you are having trouble, send materials by fax, or registered mail, or by email (preferably two of the three) and keep a paper trail for a) your card issuer or bank and b) so that you can take them to court or join a class action suit. If you are a victim, I would contact the Ministry of the Attorney General, the Ministry of Consumer Services, and your local MPP. Only the combined pressure of many complaints will get the authorities' attention.
