Financial Crime Provention Unit Leo Fernandez claims to be an officer BEWARE-HE IS NOT A COP! california city, California

Officer Leo Fernandez called threatening me that I needed to call him and said he was from the financial crime provention unit division. He had the street I lived on and said if I didnt call him back that he wished me good luck to which was going to unfold. Left me a number 760-514-0131 which rolled over to a number 760-514-0130. he said it took you too long to call me back scoffed and hung up on me. I didnt even say my name. Then I called back and the number was disconnected.


Okay, I am the nerdiest person in the world. I may say and act stupid alot of the time but I am not... I took my message straight to the police to verify. The cop on duty laughed. He said it was a phising scam.


Dont get caught up by someone pretending to be someone they are not. BEWARE! This person is not a COP!

I too receive a call like that only it was a 786 area code. He said the exact same things to me and when I called him back he hung up as well only to put his answering machine on. The dude could barely speak English!
