I've known Mark for a long time and he used to be pretty reliable, but not anymore. I worked for him for about 6 months in the early 2000's, until my paychecks were harder and harder to actually get. I moved away from the area, but when I returned I wanted to get some stereo equipment so I looked up Mark. In July 2009 I went to Mark to buy a head unit for my 1998 Eclipse. He told me he could get it for me in a day or two and I gave him $300. The next day I began thinking more and more and wanted to upgrade my whole system. I returned and gave him $200 for a 2 channel amp, $200 for a 4 channel amp, $150 for a component speaker system, and $40 for a 4 gauge wiring kit. So total paid was $890 before August 2009. He told me he would have it all within a week and was very helpful with all of it. 3 weeks went by, I called and he told me that the new models were released so it was hard to get the old models and the new ones arent completely stocked yet. It would take him another week or two to get them. This went on and on and on and on until May 2010, when I totalled the car and told him I needed the cash back. He refused but said he would modify my order to get me something that would work with my new car. This turned out to be an 11" flip down LCD monitor with DVD player. He actually got it for me in about 2 weeks and I installed it myself. Once I had it in, it had no sound coming from the internal speakers, and when I brought this up to him he told me he would get me an FM modulator, which meant 2 more weeks. Once I had that installed it had a terrible feedback and only one side of the speakers worked. I took the monitor out and could clearly see that the screws to open the unit had been taken out before, and some were even missing. This was a repair unit he passed on to me. He told me he could get one in brand new the next day. That was in July 2010. It is now almost April 2011. He has told me every lie in the book. It's coming from California, they have one on hold at Davis Distributing, I've been out of the shop, etc. He even told me one time he was in the middle of a terrible divorce because he caught his wife cheating, and the next time I stopped into the shop she was there and he introduced me to her again. I have been more than patient, and since there was no written receipt I have no options. So I am going to warn people how bad his business is and what I have lost. If you look him up with the better business bureau he has an F rating for many complaints. He has done this to many people. I finally told him I was sick of his lies and that I would give him one more week to get me my equipment and he said he would do it. I said if I didnt have it then I would find some way to get even with him. He never got it, so I am going to tell my story. All told I paid him $890 and I have received a pair of $30 speakers which arent what I ordered, A wiring kit (value $40) and two terminal blocks ($10 each) - so I have received $90 worth of my nearly $900 spent. The sad thing is, I offered him a way out, give me $200, which is what the montior cost online, and I would forget the whole thing. He said he had a credit for my return at the distributor, he just had to go get it, which was 20 minutes away. After him not going for 2 months, I said I would go for him, he wouldnt. Then everytime he went, or "sent a guy" they never had it or had the wrong thing. He is a liar, con artist, and just does not care about taking people's money. He has no regrets for what he has done to me. Stay away! Buy online or go to First Class. He may have better prices, but what does that matter when you dont get what you buy. He is a THIEF!
