OMG, I was just at GARY'S MARKETPLACE in Wayne and I can't tell you what a joke this place has become! I bought a bottle of wine last week, as per the recommendation of the manager in the store. Because I live in NYC, when I stopped into GARY'S MARKETPLACE, on my home, I bought a couple bottles- since the manager said I could return the others, if not opened and not happy. I came back to GARY'S MARKETPLACE today and tried to do just that! Make an easy return and If all went well, probably would have reused the money towards something else there. NO WAY! The manager at GARY'S MARKETPLACE denied ever telling me that I could return the wine. He actually made me feel like I never even met him before, except that I asked him to write his info on my receipt. I said that he was not being fair and I only wanted to return the two bottles for something different. He became angry, condescending and rude. He said he called the owner Gary (that ugly dude on the self promoting billboards in NJ) and was told not to take the wine back. I really don't want to detail a blow by blow of what happened at GARY'S MARKETPLACE, but I just want to make sure that NO ONE goes there. I have since priced them to other stores and GARY'S MARKETPLACE is also a scam in cost. Yes the stores look nice, but do you really want to pay for their decor and GARY's billboards????? In the end, I was made to feel stupid and cheap and will definitely never return with my money! This economy stinks and I can find other liquor stores who care to do business with class!
