Gevalia 1-800-GEVALIA Charged Account after Cancellation - Caused Account to Bounce - Had no Contract with Gevalia - Internet

I had called Gevalia customer service to cancel two weeks before a strange charge from them caused me to bounce my account. I had no reason to receive any coffee from Gevalia, yet they stated "due to your cancellation, we sent a post card explaining that an annual shipment would be sent, did you get the post card?" I explained I had not, and that they had no right to bill me $40 for coffee that I didn't want, especially since I had cancelled and they didn't have a contract with me, and had admitted they knew that.


It would not have been such a big issue, but I was already low on account funds, so their unplanned and unwarranted charge to my bank account caused it to bounce, and my credit card payment now will not go through, as well. So therefore, I have potentially over $55 in fees from both my bank and credit card, and a possible credit default, because they did something that was totally outside any reasonable contract. I had already performed "due diligence" in canceling the contract, and they knew it, and they said in the second call, as I explained, above, that what they did was basically IN RESPONSE TO ME CANCELING.
