Great West Retirement Services Incompetent Greenwood Village, Colorado

This company is incompetent. I have been trying to conduct a routine transaction, rolling over an IRA into my retirement plan with GW. I contacted the company and had them assist me in filling out the forms and sent them to the IRA bank. They were sent back indicating that they needed a signature from a trustee of GW. GW refuses to do this and insists that my supervisor or HR sign it despite the fact that the form has Trustee of GW. Neither my boss or HR are trustees of their company which is obvious. I have wasted over 12 hours of time and it has now been over 6 weeks with no resolution in sight. A rep from ING is now assisting in rolling over the IRA into a new ING account and will soon be rolling over the GW account into my new ING account. I would advise to stay away from this company, they have horrible customer service, which has ended up costing me a substantial amount of money due to the market slide.

I had the same issues with Great West. They would not give me the forms to start paying out my annuity even though I was retired and 64. It took hours of aguing with them and getting my former employer involved before they sent the forms.

I filled out the form with one of their reps over the phone. They then called back and said the form was not correct. This went on for several calls, each one using up a great deal of time. It was as if they did not want to let me touch my own money.

My frustraction level with this company is huge. I would not recommend anyone use thier services.
