iTalk Wireless ACTUAL EMPLOYEE EMAILS!! iTALK is not BUT TROUBLE. THEY WILL SHUT DOWN> Internet

The first thing that caught my eye when I came aboard the Italk team was the extensive paperwork I had to fill out and sign off on, I felt as if I was signing my life away and questioned the fact that I was signing a release paperwork before I had even started. Putting my gut feelings and the terrible reviews the company has online aside I started on 6/19/11. I got thrown into the slowest location with absolutely no training on policies and procedures, and opening and closing, as was expected to do the job 100%. I put all that aside and gave the company another chance, then Friday came around and I had called Chris Gale to see where my paycheck was, it turns out I wasn’t even getting paid that day because for some reason or another the company holds your first weeks pay? I found that quite interesting, no reputable company would hold an employees pay under any circumstances. I worked another 2 weeks and waiting for my check, finally when I got my first paycheck I was missing 18 hours! So basically I had been working for 4 weeks now and have only seen $600.00! That’s mind blowing. I then had to wait another 2 weeks to get the difference that Italk owed me and was also expecting my regular paycheck that same day. Well it turns out that my other paycheck had been deposited into my old checking account that I had closed, I asked Chris Gale earlier in the week if he could check if I was signed up for direct deposit because I had only received a paper check he told me that if I did not enroll again then I did not have direct deposit. I trusted the word of my district manager because I did not know any better. 8/9/11 I finally received my paycheck and learned that I got $75.00 deducted from it, per Amir, to cover the expediting process. Now if anyone should be charged that fee it definitely shouldn’t have been me. Any reputable company would not make their employee suffer for something that was completely out of their hands. I feel as if the people who work on the other end of the company focus too much time and energy into constantly changing rules, policies, procedures, and sending out rude and demanding emails, and not enough time trying to increase sales. I found it absolutely ridiculous and even embarrassing to the company when Sierra sent out an email stating that any employee caught sitting will get charged $50.00, and that if an employee brings any non verizon cell phone into the store, laptop, or ipad, it will become ITalks property. That definitely brought me back to the elementary school days, are you guys running a business or a school? The micromanaging that this company does is out of this world. Believe me, I wouldn’t trust half of the people we have managing the stores and would micromanage them also, but the only way to get good talent, retain good talent, and decrease turn over, is to pay your employees more money. Maybe you guys could sell all of the extra company cars that are parked in front of all of the stores thatgenerate no business, and increase management’s salary? Just an idea...This company has a lot of work to do if you guys want to be a reputable premium retailer and compete with the other retailers out there. With that being said, I wish you guys the best of luck, but I couldn't be any happier with the decision that I made!
