I have been dealing with acne problems since I was in high school. The package I bought is $700 for 10 sessions plus this acne system called Dadashie which includes an exfoliating cleanser, a mask cream, and a cream. The owner of La'May esthetics is May Chan. I searched online and for the 2 oz. exfoliating cleanser it is $40 and the mask is $20. I think I have 3 or 4 more facial sessions to go. The facials are not worth $700 because you go in, they wash your face, steam your face, remove dead skin cells using this metal poker tool, and then a mask. THAT'S ALL. One time during the process of removing the dead skin cells, she dropped the tool on the floor and she didn't go wash it before continuing on my face. How disgusting! I have seen results, but I think that was the outcome of the Dadashie treatment (which I use everyday), not the facial itself. My cantonese isn't that good but I can still effectively communicate with her. I asked her how come my skin is still red and full of scars and what can be done to fix it? She said a lot of bulls**t and
she replied saying people having different results and may need further treatment because it is a slow process. But the thing is, she kept hedging my question when I asked how it could be fixed when the correct answer is to use laser treatment for my heavy scarring. I actually thought that was what I would be doing when I bought the package. Then she went on saying if I don't treat it my redness will become 'freckles' and harder to treat. First of all, they don't become 'freckles', they become blemish scars. She doesn't know anything, seriously. Everytime I go in, I always leave feeling pissed off. I went to use the bathroom one time and I overheard her tell her assistant how big my pimples are or something like that. I know Chinese people are blunt, but my acne has calmed down a lot since high school. She would
always point out how big my pimples must've been to have caused such big holes in my face. Yes, I understand, that is why I'm here to get help and not be rudely reminded of that every week. After she 'explained' every thing to me, she told me to ask my parents to come in because their chinese is probably better. Plus another time when I asked her about my face, she said she's only had one breakout and 'finally understands' the pain of others. I told her she's very lucky then and she gave me this tone and said I know =). Stupid vile woman. Are you that insecure to pick on someone half your age? I was late for 10 min and was on my way there. She called my house and one of my parents answered saying I was on my way. She said well tell them to hurry up because I have other clients booked for their appointment. So stupid to call my house when I'm already on my way. I checked afterwards and there was only ONE person sitting outside waiting. I don't know why it matters so much since she has TWO beds in one room. I have never experienced such horrible service in my life and I wish I could just stand in front of the store to tell people my story and not waste their money on results that will not come. |
