Leo of Leo's Appliance Parts refused to refund the price, less 20% restocking fee of a new washing machine pump that I had purchased the day before. I had opened the plastic bag package and installed the pump but discovered that the new pump did not solve the trouble with the machine. I still don't know if the pump is the problem or even if the new one worked or did not work. He would not honor their return policy because I had used it to trouble shoot my washer. He claimed that he could not resale the pump because I had opened the plastic bag and their return policy says that the item must be in its original package. I did return it in its original package only opened at the seam. His attitude was that he simply did not care if I ever bought anything from him again. Anyone who is willing to chase off hundreds of dollars in profit for about thirty dollars profit on one part which could be resold is a fool and doesn't deserve to be in business and their customers don't deserve to be treated with such disregard.
