Consumer reviews and reports on scam companies, bad products and services
Magic HR Support magichrsupport.com Work from home scam, Internet
25th of Sep, 2011 by User118279
This company started in July 2011. They find job seekers on Carreer Builder (and possibly other job boards) and solicit as a personal assistant/customer service. The draw is that they offer you a 15 day "trial" period and offer to pay you $1200 for your troubles. If you are hired, they offer to pay you up to $3000 a month. The work, they say, will consists of internet searches and business communications. If purchases are necessary, you will be issued a company credit card. When you sign on, they show a legitimate web site, and contract. You are not required to give them your SSN. The first (and maybe even second) assignment will be an innocuous one, like find 3 publications in your area that will take advertisements. The "big" assignemnt will involve money. They will offer to deposit money into your checking account, which you have to withdraw and wire (Western Union) to a third party. It will be all hidden in a nice email communication, where you build up a rapport with someone on the "other end". When you withdraw the money and the wire is complete, they reverse the deposit and you lose your money.
