Marie Goodwin contacted me interested in two Border Collie puppies I had for sale at the price of $600 dollars each. Goodwin asked if I could deliver the puppies to her and she would compensate in my gas all because her sister was dying of cancer. She also asked if she could use paypal since she was so short on time. I met Goodwin in North Royalton, OH at the training facility, gave her two puppies, and returned home. Goodwin later cancelled the payment and will not return any phone calls or emails. I am currently filing a civil suit against Goodwin. She is a major scam artist. It appears there are countless complaints against her for similar incidents.

This Marie Goodwin scam does not surprise me. There are a growing number of us falling victim to Marie's deceit. The stories have similar characteristics and lies associated with them. Some we have heard include: the check is in the mail, i am sick, i am in the hospital, I'll send payment to your attorney, stop contacting me or I'll file harrassment charges. I'm sure the list goes on. Marie appears to be sincere and kind. DON'T BE FOOLED!! She knows how to get money out of people and not pay them back. For a nonprofit organization, I wonder how much she has gained by not taking care of her financial obligations. PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH ANY FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS WITH MARIE. If you are reading this AFTER an issue has already occurred, I'm sorry to hear you have joined the bunch.
