16th of May, 2011 by User915377 |
Tuesday, May 17th @ 9:30 AM CDT Peter James with a heavey Jamacian accent called announcing I had won a $2.5 million lottery. My response was "how so - since I had not entered any lotteries". He asked if I had shopped Walmart or JC Penney - I responed yes and he said that's how, through a promotion. At that time he requested I get a sheet of paper to write down some important information to claim my winnings. Eventually he wanted a confirmation number which would cost me $299. At that time I concluded the call telling Peter James that I knew of no lotteries that required purchases after winning - I hung up. He did call back and asked if I wanted to donate my winnings to a charity to which I replied, "please do".

Mon. July 18th, a guy named Kevin Spenser called me with the same speal, except he needed $438.00 for a state to state border stamp before my money could be released for delivery by UPS. I knew it was a scam but I played along just to see what kind of bull they would come up with. I asked him how I could check this out, and he said to call Congressman Peter Monroe's office at 1-876-480-0267 in Nevada. I went on the web to if there was a Congressman by this name in Nevada, there wasn't, so I called the number and guess who answered the phone, good afternoon- not Congressman Monroe's office, the same stupid guy. I got tired of playing the game and told he could keep the 2.5 Million. They are targeting people over 55. Don't fall for this because if you had really won a lottery, you would be notified with a knock on the door, or a certified letter and you wouldn't have to pay money for it. |

My 85 year old Mother called me today 11/05/2011 to tell me she recieved several calls from phone # 1-876-433-9333, a man saying his name was John Mc Gregor from Mega Millions in Las Vegas, NV. and that she had won 3rd Place Prize of 2.5 Million dollars and a brand new 2011 Mercedes Car. To get this money she needed to go to Walgreens and send a money gram for $87.00 today to who he had given her written instructions to who to send it too. The reciept would enable 2 women waiting at the airport in custom for a Stamp for the check, then would bring the 2.5 million check and $50, 000.00 in CASH today. Her new 2011 Mercedes will be coming tomorrow. I goolge him and the business and you know it's all HISTORY--A SCAM--which saved my 85 year old Mother, who really was believing this man. I called him and told him not to call my Mother again under what, or whom ever name he uses and I was going to put this on the net. |

May 15, 2012 - Mega Millions - $10.5 Million and a customized Mercedes (I must be special). Peter James (very heavy accent) called me, instructed me to buy a Green Dot MoneyPak card for $250 ("1%" of the winning amount - his math is as bad as his english) and call with the number on the card. Phone numbers are 716-616-9383 and 876-373-1188. Doesn't give up easily - even after I said it was a scam and there was no way I would send him $250. Wish I could find Peter and beat the crap out of him. |

My sister & husband in Anchorage, Alaska had received the same bull this guy had done. He insistedly telling my sister that he is a man of God, righteous, and a man of his word. My sister said this had been going on for about a month. All the above mentioned clarifications are all familiarized with the same SCAM my sister and husband and gone through. Please, the law enforcements need to look into this and get this guys bud to lock up. If he is Jamaican, he needs to go back to his country and do scamming. I wanna catch this idiot and kick him in a mouth. |
