Mr. Fix
Mr. Fix It been waiting for three months and still haven't received laptop, but they took my money Jonesboro, Georgia
11th of Jul, 2011 by User704617
On April 5, 2011 I went and purchased a laptop from Mr. Fix It in Jonesboro, GA. I found this company through craigslist.com when I was looking online for a laptop. They have been in business for 13 years so I figured that they were a legit company. When I went over there they told me that they had to order my laptop but they took my money which was $320.98 with the tax included.
Three weeks passed by and still didnt get my laptop. On April 25, 2011 I got a call from Mr. Fix It and they said that my laptop was in but they had to check and make sure that there were no problems with it. I was expecting a brand new laptop but they had ordered me a used one nd didnt tell me. So after hearing that I didnt feel comfortable with them. I told them that I wanted my refund. But they said that they dont do refunds, they do something called a store credit instead. I then asked to speak with a manager. Tory who is the manager there told me that the money I had spent I could have had a brand new laptop. I then told him that I would rather have a new computer so he told me that he was going to go ahead and order me a brand new laptop. But the price difference was going to be $54.00. So I waited about another week and a half and still no laptop. Then on May 6, 2011 after I finished work, I tried to call them about three times but no answer. So I drove up there and when I got there they were closed and there was a sign on the door saying that they would be back later. There was a lady up there in her mid 50s who also purchased a laptop and still didnt receive it. She told me that when she knocked on the door they slammed the door in her face. So she called the police because she got ripped off too. When the officer got there he told her that this is a civil matter and the police only deal with criminal issues. When Tory, the manager at Mr. Fix It finally got there he banned the lady from coming back since she didnt handle the issue properly. I then asked him where my laptop is and then that was when he told me that I had to pay the $54.00 before he could order it for me but he didnt tell me that. And when I told him that I want my money back he said no. I then asked
him what was taking so long and he then said that people who purchased a laptop from them have to wait months before they can get it. He even said that there was a customer who waited five months for their laptop! Then on June 2, 2011 I called them again after submitting a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and then they told me that I had to pay $154.00 before they can order my new laptop. They never told me that I had to pay the $54.00 by a certain date so they charged me an additional $100.00. That was when I decided to just go ahead and get the used laptop since they took my money and I want to get something for what I spent. Then another month passed and I still dont have my laptop. I called them on July 5, 2011 and asked them where my laptop is. They told me that they are still waiting for it to be shipped to the store and that is what they keep telling me every time I call. I asked them if they could find out what is going on since it has been three months and I still dont have my laptop. They told me that they cant do that. So I complained that I have been waiting for three months and still dont have computer. They said that when it gets shipped to the store they would call me. I then went up to the store on July 12, 2011 in person and asked them if my laptop was shipped in yet. They said that they are still waiting for it and when I asked them how much longer it is going to take they didn't have an answer for me. I really dont feel comfortable with Mr. Fix It and because of the way they are handling business then I feel that I should either have my laptop or get my money back. I am a Graphic Designer and really need to have a computer.

Customer is unfortunately retarded. Customer was made well aware of the fact that we do not control shipping. She is mentally deficient when it comes to actual following instructions. We made the customer aware that her laptop was being shipped in status to our store. Customer stated that she would have her lawyer call the store that she will be suing the store for losing business. Informed the customer that she will then be a civil matter and that she is no longer allowed on property. Customer was issued a Criminal trespass. Customer then came back to the property causing a disturbance in the business. Customer was very rude, making threats and then was shown off the property. Customer clearly is very indecisive about the decisions she makes and is someone you would never like to do business with. Businesses beware.
