| I lived in Cape Coral Fl. I was moving back home to WI. last June. I ordered a POD for $2200. This company Nations Van Lines found me, called me, and promised they could match the price. I took their offer and canceled my POD, canceled my sons flights to help me move. So on moving day when I was hit with a $3900.00 total charge,( after knocking off major furniture, literally couches and coffee table, and side tables left on the curb for trash).I was sick and I had no choice but to move that day. So I was charged almost double, after I dropped furniture they agreed to move for the $2200 est. They claimed I needed more truck space. In the end the truck came with my things stuffed into 784 c.f. of room ( police report of this) I was charged for 1250 c.f. ( way enough to have moved all my furniture and then some). So I had things falling out of the truck breaking right in front of the movers, I had missing boxes, I had very expensive sewing equipment broken. It was such a lose we called the police while movers waited. For all this.... their claims dept offers me $212.00. OMG They charged me $477.00 on moving day to pack 3 glass table tops. Guess what, they broke one. So divide 3 by $477.00 (to at least pay me back for the packing expense). and what their claims is actually offering me is about $55.00 for my lose. I have no couches, no tables, they broke thousands of dollars, they lost who knows what all in 2 boxes and a tool box full of tools. It was a horrible experience. I laughed at the $213.00 claims ,the claims actually sends the papers to Nation Van Lines and I can wait for the thieves to cut me a check, sure. Do not use them, know who your movers are please. If you know of any law suits I would love to join in ... Thank you |
