| I applied for a driving position posted by Peter Shawn on Craigslist. Today I got a FedEx package and the instructions that I need to western union money to Davis James Cain III for a van rental. I am taking the check to my bank tomorrow. I am also taking the fed ex package and everything over to my police department and since there is a FBI building in my city, I am thinking about going there as well. These people have to be stopped! They are taking advantage of people that are trying to make a living and trying to get jobs. |

| I got a check today from them for $2700...no explanation at all was given. Something was not right so I started to check into it. The name on the FedEx bill was Terry Duck and it came from Redmond, WA. The address in WA is a hotel. The check said it was from Travel Agency Commission Settlement in Reston, VA and the bank was in New Castle, DE! So I called the Travel Agency Commission conpany in VA to see what this was about. They asked for the number of the check...it was not theirs he said. They wanted me to fax what I received to them today...the check and the bill from Fed Ex. Then I called the bank in DE and they said the tracking number was correct but they told me to contact my local authorities and report it to them. In the return address I saw the name of a company...googled them and found them in Memphis, TN! I called them up and they are an Interior Desigh company with only two locations in the state of TN. They too wanted me to fax the information to them. I came home today opened up my e-mail and saw an e-mail from a woman named Amanda Cruz. I had contacted her via craig's list for a job...as a Secret Shopper for a local Western Union. She had replied back to me stating they had a Western Union and I was accpeted to complete this assignment. I was to keep $400 for myself. I was given an address in Melbourne FL to send information to. Then this all makes sense to me...she was going to scam me! But I kind oe knew that it was...her command of the English language was terrible! So please...be very careful and suspicious when you receive anything like this. I am so grateful I did not fall for this! I did report it to my local authorities...but they are not too concerned about it...gotta love local law enforcement! |

| I got taken in by this scam as well...until I received the Fed Ex package today. I was supposed to be a Mystery Shopper for Western Union. I was not very trustful from the get go though...whoever Amanda Cruz is, has a terrible command of the English language...lots of grammatical errors. I opened the package and just saw a check from Travel Agency Commission Settlement. I googled them and found a phone number which I called to see if the check was legit...it wasn't. They wanted me to fax to them what I received...and I did that. Then on the return address there was a name Terry Duck...tried to google that...nothing came up. I just knew this whole thin was a scam from the moment I saw the check...and knew not to cash it. These are probably people from the country of Nigeria...I saw that on TV a couple of years ago...and there is nothing we in the USA can do about them! Disgusting! Yet they can still do what they do and not get caught...all the while people here in the USA are being cheated out of their hard earned cash!! |

I received the same. Fed Ex delivered a check to me today for the amount of 2800.00. The company name on the check is Galpin Motors in Ca. I looked Galpin Motors up on the internet and gave them a call. They are aware that these checks are fraudulent. The Fed Ex envelope came from Stan's Notubes in New York. None of it made any sense.

Unfortunately, the FBI or police will only investigate if you have actually lost money to a scammer. I received the "mystery shopper" check and called the bank it was drawn on. It was fake, of course. The usual script has you deposit the check then do a "mystery shop", including wiring money through Western Union or MoneyGram or WalMart to test their customer service. What happens is that a few weeks later the check you deposited turns out to be fake and now you owe your bank a LOT of money.
Mystery Shopping NEVER prepays and NEVER pays $200 or $300 per assignment. The usual pay is between $8 and $20, depending on the shop. I am a mystery shopper. |

| I too received a check for $2, 400 hundred dollars from a Phillip S Gomez who wanted me to repair 10 laptops. I immediately knew this was a scam when I received the check before I even did any work. No one and I mean NO ONE will pay you first and ask you to do work later. I contacted JP Morgan Chase bank and they told me the check was fake. |

| I also was sent a email saying it was rockstar energy drinks to shrink wrap my car to advertise for them..the emial sender was kelvin mcbright..the chk was suposto be mailed to me i take out my part and send the rest to this address on rosemary ..to david james cain .i have sent all and any correspondence to the fbi..i suggest anyone getting something from kelvin mcbright and to send to david j cain send a complaint to fbi..they are scamming people like crazy so happy i wasnt one of them... |
