I went to Priceline.com to book a hotel reservation. My search criteria included 3 1/2 star lodging rating. That yielded ONLY ONE hotel. Based on that hotel and it's location, I booked it. Instead I received a 3 star hotel further away from my desired location. I called customer service and talked to one representative and then her supervisor. Both said that it was a 3 1/2 star hotel as listed on the PRICELINE.COM website. As I was talking to them I was looking at the PRICELINE.COM website and what they were telling me WAS NOT TRUE. I tried to point that out to them to no avail. They said that the hotel was good enough to be a 3 1/2 star hotel. Trust me it IS NOT because I live in that city and it IS NOT comparable. Furthermore, it was not what I selected. I feel ripped off. I have sent all information to the fraud department at the attorney general in my state as well as the better business bureau in my town. I wish I would have researched PRICELINE.COM's crappy reputation before spending my money. Please don't use PRICELINE.COM. I never will again. I will also be sharing this information with all my contacts as PRICELINE.COM is not a reputable company and the people I spoke to also were not.
