| So I was looking for an auto shipping company to ship my car , I filled those free quotes from online and received lots of emails and calls from different " brokers" with all different kind of prices, from $150-$650. My car was not far, i wanted shipped from 180 miles away. So this lady calls me & tells me that they can have my car picked up with in 48 hours and shipped to my location for 150 deposit and 150 upon delivery to the driver. I said okay, she takes my credit card information and tells me that shes going to send me a paper to my email address to read over terms and conditions and have it signed and scanned or faxed back to her, so i read the terms and conditions and its not like what we spoke on the phone, it says that the deposit is non refundable and no Gurnteed when car will be picked up, so i email her back and told her that its not like we talk on the phone, she said if they dont pick my car with in 48 hours i can cancel and get my deposit back, anyways i did NOT sign anything. She told me that they will NOT charge my credit card until they make sure a driver will pick the car up with in my time frame which is 48 hours and I still have to sign the paper which I did NOT. I ended up picking the car my self since there is a lot of scam out there with the car transportation business. So i log into my credit card statement & I see a $150 dollar charged from raceway auto transportation, I called them, no response, emailed them no response, they should have never charged my credit card since i never signed anything. BEWARE OF AUTO TRANSPORT BROKERS. I made a list bellow to help you find the best auto transport companies from my experince: 1 - dont do a quote from online, find LOCAL auto transport companies in your area. 2- make sure the company a bbb accredited. 3- dont belive comments written on transportreviews.com since those scammers out there write there own comments (raceway international does not even exist on that website or bbb). 4 - dont pay a company a dime until they deliver your car. 4- if you have charges on your credit card without your signature , open a charge back with your bank and 5 - research research and research a company, if they seem too good to be true its mostly is, make sure they have at least an A with BBB, they been in business for at least 5 years and read there terms and conditions. BEWARE - THESE SCAMMERS CAN CHANGE THERE NAME/PHONE NUMBERS AND WEBSITE EASY! |
