Reed Motors
Reed Motors Be careful with this dealership, they may seem friendly, but they have a mysterious way into fooling you. Phoenix, Arizona
9th of Apr, 2011 by User172289
Starting on December of 2010. I spent days and weeks shopping for cars. I've gone through many inquiries through many dealerships in Phoenix area this includes big dealerships and smaller ones starting off with 2500 down that eventually went to 900 dollars and my credit is pretty challenged as well. I make pretty good money, but helping out my mother and extra expenses makes up for it,but I could afford a pretty nice car just the matter of getting approved for one. I've always wanted a Nissan 350z,but only had 900 down. I saw a advertisement on Craigslist and saw Reed Motors and I talk to one of the sales person who was very friendly and he was very helpful and positive that he could get me into that 350z. He said he needed proof of income, proof of utility bills, my call logs from my cell phone bill which was really wierd and references of course. He said the the bank requires all those information which I did,but not all since I live with my mother so most of the bills are not under my name. Anyways, after providing all those information. I went to the dealership to talk to him so I can finally purchase the vehicle. The car on the ad at first only had 69k miles and when I saw the vehicle at the lot it had 71K+ miles on it,but yeah I was approved for the 350z and the worst part is he connected me with one of the worst financial lenders in the world which is Lobel Financial. This lender is known to commit harrassment to people who are late for payments, charge crazy interest rates and late fees, illegal activity and even fraudalent activites to take advantage of credit challenged people. But at the time I had no idea of the company. I was too excited about getting the 350z. I didn't mind the 471 payment a month, but the car was financed at 13k,but interest and everything it was at 19k+ So now to the downpayment part. I only had 900 down so he took it and he told me when the lenders call me to tell them that I put down 2100 instead of 900 and thats basically lying to the bank, but he told me to do it since thats how much in reality I am putting down but not right away and which was needed to be paid in 3 weeks after I take the car home or else he will buy the contract back from the lender. So I figured I would need to pay the total of 2100 since I put down 900 then I would need another 1200 to make the total, but the week came when I had to pay I told the sales person that I don't have the full amount and told him that I only have 640 and thats the only money I have left right now. He told me to keep the 140 and give him 500 for now and starting Mid April of 2011 to the end of April I have to come up with the rest of it. If I don't then I believe he will buy the contract back from the dealership. Reed motors was paid their money from Lobell Financial about 3 weeks after I took the car home. I've talked to many other car salesman about this and they told me that this salesman at Reed motors is trying to rip you off. How would he buy the contract back after I've had the car for more than a month now. Especially that the shady bank knows that I paid 2100,but in reality I only payed 900 down because that salesman told me to do so. Now I had the car for more than 30 days and he still wants the whole amount of downpayment can he really do this? And can he really cancel my contract and buy it back? And the most mysterious part about it that to delete all the conversations we had on the email, becuse I was complaining to him about the downpayment before via email. He told me in the email that I needed to pay the total amount thats what we agree on,but I never signed a contract that I need to pay the dealer sums of payments. The contract only says the I put down 2100,but not make payments. Just don't go to this dealership other than all this stuff going on. The 2nd day I had my car it started to overheat, for days I've emailing the dealership he told me to come down so they can check it out which was good, but I found out the solution to problem myself. They were absolutely no coolant in the reservoir tank completely empty and a week later my air bag light was flashing then a month later my rear brake pads gave up. I spent 200+ dollars for all my brakes pads to replace and resurfacing my rotors just to be safe.
