From the Chamber of Key Largo...Thank you for the information. We have had other complaints about this company and John Williams. You can contact Det. Mark Wilkinson of the Monroe County Sheriff's Office at 305-853-3211 and report the problems you had with Mr. Williams. This company is not a member of the Key Largo Chamber of Commerce but I will pass your e-mail along to our President.
The scam is your deposit is taken and just before you are to rent the home, your are contacted that the home can not be rented. Your deposit money is not returned for months, ifyou contact the Sheriff or hire a lawyer, your chances are getting your deposit are increased.

Just got scammed by this company. 3 days before our arrival date we got an email saying the property was inadvertently booked for the incorrect week and that they would work to remedy the situation. Of course none of the properties offered were an adequate substitute for the property originally leased and of course they all rented for more $$. (All subsitute properties were listed by other ligit companies - none carried by Resort Property Management) Was told that Resort Management would pay the difference but, of course we would have to cover the difference until the boss who was out of town could write the check. I had 14 members of the family traveling from various locations accross the US and had no choice but to put up the cash so that they had a place to sleep.
Today were were told the management company changed hands over the weekend and Dave and Doug were no longer working for the company. Ironically, the person who has now taken over according to the voicemail I recieved has the last name of Williams.
BEWARE. don't believe anythng Doug/Dave/Mr. Williams has to say. My guess is that they are all the same person. |

AKA- Doug Collins, John Williams, Scott Johnson, Colleen Rowe are all behind this madness of taking your rental deposit or say rental vacation money from you and holding it. This company was once called Key Largo Vacations that is no longer in business... website was re-registered in January 1st 2011. The name was changed, however the people were not. It's now called Resort Property Management LLC. Or near it's end of that name an soon to be another. This getaway has been flooded on Craig's List listing's, an Independent website showing you the properties called rpmflkeys.com. which is currently inactive. Half ass websites like map rentals and vacation home rentals.com. There ways were to conceal your monies for matter of time. Months before you get it back... Including the B.S of stalling and saying they sent it back. Or it got lost ect. Soon you will hire a private detective, skip tracer, or lawyer... or call detective by the name of Mike Wilkinson of the Monroe County Sheriff's Department 305-853-7481. He is beyond tired on dealing with these people and the folks behind the scheme. By then you may start to see a dime or get the return back.
Another way to ruin your vacation was to say they booked you in the 96130 house called sunset eligance, an at the last minute give you directions to another house. A bait and switch tatic. Show you this and give you that...The 3.7 million dollar home at 96130 overseas highway in Key Largo which is currently owned by Brian Dafoe a retired NHL goalie. John Williams is currently selling the house at 96130 Overseas Highway. Under Key Dream Realty. It's been off and on the market for the past two years. Once you think you are all set, you arrive in the keys at the house... only to find out it's not the one you rented on your rental agreement. Whoops I made a mistake! Months planning, airline tickets ect. Vacation Ruined.
As mentioned... the holding of the monies did result in getting it back...In fact five different people that I've spoken with did get there money back. Many months if not many weeks later.
The time and stress dealing with these people really leave a bad taste in your mouth about renting a house 1000 of miles away. Major rental websites like VRBO- home away... have taken these people off there website. They have had too many complaints. Mapped rentals as well as vacation home rentals website's ect. are fly by night websites featuring this property. If your looking for a headache go ahead. The people that have responded on this page as well as the others on other scam report websites backing up these people...stated they stayed there, had no issues, had a great time. Are knee high in poo. The bad reviews on this house at 96130 overseas highway have started in late 2009...and have continued off and on since then. If you have sent your deposit in for one of there houses... Buckle up...Enjoy the ride.

The vacation rental property located at 96130 Overseas Highway is now managed by Florida Keys Luxury Rentals. The company owner is Jo Anne Thibeau. She has been in the vacation rental business for over 12 years. She runs her company with Pride and Passion. The majority of her clients return year after year.
The owners of 96130 OSH are very sorry for all of the problems that have been happening. John Williams, Dave, FL Keys Adventures, Keys Tropical Vacation or anyone else is not in any capacity affiliated with Florida Keys Luxury Rentals or Jo Anne Thibeau. This is a beautiful property with one of the best beaches in the Keys. Let Jo Anne prove to you how smoth and uneventful you vacation will be.
