I am writing this report after seeing a similiar one posted on this website since this exact same event occurred to me just over 9 years ago. I am just now reporting it as my move from N. California to Washington State gave me the opportunity to locate the documentation that I had received from the purchase to more accurately document the transaction. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I was contacted by B.J. Palm of Scepter Balance, Inc to purchase some rare pieces of Colonial Paper Currency shortly after returning from Reno, Nevada to my Northern California home just a few miles east of Redding. I had been to Reno for a weekend specifically to see an exhibit of these pieces and had talked to several people, dealers, vendors, etc. so I didn't really think to much odd about getting phone calls from her as this was quite honestly a very normal part of an event such as this. After several weeks of discussions, sending me large quantities of information about the products, I decided to purchase a single piece on the agreement that one could in turn sell it back thru the same auction house that she had purchased the product for me. However, upon attempting to contact I also understood that normally one typically held these products for a year or two before putting them back on the market so as to maximize ones best chances for a higher return on their investment. The problem was that when I attempted to contact B.J. Palm , her office was no longer open, the phone number was no longer in service. I wrote letters to the address that I received my shipment from and they were returned by the US postal service marked no forwarding address. The company that processed the payment for my Colonial/Continental Paper currency that I purchased for just over $1400 was Shell Plaza International. Incidentally, as you might have guessed that the piece of paper currency that I received a Septer Balance, Inc. Certificate of Authenticity #101456 for is valued today at just over $175. The company was based out of Reno, Nevada, and had an office at 955 South Virginia St., Suite 116, 89502. |

Thanks for the posting about the sceptre CO2 rip-off, I consider myself a very wary person and always thought you would need to get up early to rip me off, but I spoke to a rep from Sceptre CO2 last month, he tried to persuaded me to invest 15K in carbon credits on a forward contract which I was considering, he said when the time comes to sell he would sell them for me, but he would not send this in writing nor the 33 percent return s promise, upon talking to my FSA he basically said the company is not registered with the FSA, And has only been trading for a short time, they are selling carbon credits which are thin air, this is a get rich scheme for the directors of Sceptre CO2, whoever invests money with these scammers may as well throw their money down the drain, THIS IS A BOILER ROOM SCAM, I have reported this company to the police who have informed me if I did invest I would properly lose my money |
