Smart Start is a scam. This is the first ime I have ever complained about anything on the web. If the court has required you to have an ignition interlock installed stay away from this product. I have met two people that ended up in jail due to false positives. I have had this unit in my car for three days and I have had to have it towed to a Smart Start location twice! When I call I am talked to like I am a second class citizen. All the towing was done at my own expense. THIS UNIT DOES NOT WORK AND YOU WILL END UP STUCK NOT BEING ABLE TO START YOUR CAR OR EVEN WORSE....IN JAIL. I have met other people who have had the Draegar Interlock installed and have had zero problems. There is no hummimg involved. You just blow and start your car. I have been using the start smart interlock, low false readings are not uncommon. Within the last month I started getting violations. I blow 0.00 car starts 5 minutes later Im asked to blow agian, I do so only to get a violation reading of 0.2 or above, my retest 5 minutes later is 0.00. But I stil get violations on my print outs and am on my last violation now. In which the same problem accurs and I have to go the installer and pay unscheduled service fees for, to remove the lock out mode. This is really stressful

go into the better business bureau website and file the complaint there. I have a problem with mine and I want as many people to file complaints. I did and the smart start rep is lying!

Intoxalock emptied my bank account if $1270, 3 months after service discontinued. I had given them my debit card to automatically pay $84.75/month for boyfriends car/contract back in August.Car was totaled, I called to cancel payments. Nothing deducted for 3months, then out of nowhere 5 different withdrawals of differing amounts, very unauthorized, stolen, in one day! I called Intoxalock and they wouldn't even discuss the charges as I don't have an account with them! DO NOT use debit with these thieves. I will get my money back with perseverance because they did a very bad thing to me. Bad bad company.
