I needed some heavy duty security straps to lock our hot tub at night as we run a surf and kitesurf business in Portugal and the guests at the house were starting to abuse this so we looked online and found Steelcore. We assumed it was trustworthy because of the Disney award so we didn't even look further for any complaints and just ordered it. I went through the online process and at the end it said I would receive a confirmation email. This never arrived so technically I don't have any paperwork to show I actually ordered this online which made me think perhaps it didn't go through. Unfortunately when I looked at my credit card statement the money transaction had taken place. I waited a few weeks for the straps but they never arrived so I bought some other ones as I needed them ASAP. I contacted Sam by email 4 times to ask what happened to the straps and that I wanted to cancel the order as I never got the confirmation and was forced to buy from somewhere else. No response. Eventually I called him and he apologised, said his wife had left and that he was trying to run the admin side of the business and was a bit behind but it was no problem to cancel the order and refund my money. 3 months later and still no refund. I contacted him again by phone but there was no answer and no response to my follow up emails either. I have contacted my bank to inform them this transaction was an act of fraud.

I did receive the spa straps but they deteriorated. I have contacted Sam several times and he promised to replace them each time. He used same excuses as other complainant (wife left him etc).
Currently not answering phone, also one contact number no longer working.
Would not recommend purchasing
Steel Core products.
