Well, we made it to Buffalo and most of the way back before we began having problems. First, we saw smoke coming fro under the hood and soon it was too thick to see. After letting it cool down, it wouldnt start back up so we had it towed to a shop in a town on the road ahead of us.

The shop found, besides an empty oil pan, low coolant, worn shock absorbers, and that many of the drive train parts were not original equipment.

Steve apparently runs a chop shop and sells the parts from good RVs and replaces them with junkyard parts. Search the internet and you'll find other complaints regarding the same problems.
