We booked a stay with Super 8 on 4/4/2011. When we got there we were a late arrival, about 9:30pm. The lady that checked us in was not friendly at all, nor did she seem to care that we were even there. We got down to the pool about 9:45pm and only got about 15 minutes of pool time. We asked the lady if we could stay in about 10-15 minutes more, not a huge request. However she just looked at use and grinned ear to ear, saying "I am sorry but pool close's at 10pm", she acted like she enjoyed giving the bad news! Then she stood there like some prison guard making sure we got right out at 10pm rushing us, God forbid she gave us 1 extra minute! Then as we left the Manager and/or Owner was out there, like the warden making sure the Prison Guard was doing her job, said "is everyone out of the pool", with a very rude and authoritative voice. That night we didn't get to bed until around 3:00am-4:00am because the beds were so hard and lumpy! You could hear every step that someone made and water was flushing threw the toilet every 15 minutes! We had a smoking room and I understand that there is usually a Oder to the rooms do to smoking, but this one seemed like they attempted to do nothing to get ride of the Oder! In the morning we went down to eat breakfast and the donuts were hard as a rock and very stale. The food quality of the eggs was horrible! Then we went to the pool at 8:30am when it open. The Jacuzzi was not even warm, come to find out they turn it on right when it opens! Why on earth would you turn on the heat just when the pool opens, at least have the thing turned on and heated up in time for it to open the guest can enjoy being warm! Then I noticed that they had the pool hours closed from 10:00am-2:00pm everyday to clean it! Why on earth would you close it during the day to clean it, when guest are PAYING MONEY to use it! It needs to be cleaned before it opens! Then we finally went to check out. We were going to make a complaint, however the guy just looked at use and asked "what is your room number". He pulled it up and handed the bill and then looked right down at his computer! Not even asking "How was your stay?", "Did you enjoy our hotel?", "Did you have any problems?" or even "Good bye and have a nice day!". NOT a single word. His attitude was, I got your money now get the h**l out of here! I knew then that even if I complained it would have fell on death ears! This has been one of the WORST hotels stays we have had in years. Almost all the stays at other hotels we have stayed at have been excellent, very rarely do I find a hotel we stay at with this horrible service and attitude! This stay was so bad, that we decided to make a complaint to the BBB and ripoffreport.com! This is the first time we have EVER filed a complaint with the BBB and ripoffreport.com on a hotel, that was how bad our stay was! We paid about $70 plus tax, came to about $80. It was not worth anywhere near that. It was highly over charged, should have been about $40 tops is what the stay was worth! I felt we were highly over charged! The stay was NO where worth the $80 we paid for it! I request that $40.00 be refunded. Which would leave us paying only $40, which was about how much the stay was worth! |
