I had been a loyal customer for about 12 years. About a year ago, I called T Mobile to ask how much longer my contract was. They told me on June 16th, 2011 my contract would be over. When my contract was up, I was supposed to have the option to continue using the service monthly, with no contract, or cancel, with no charge. They told me if I wanted to end the service, it would only be free of charge after the 16th of June. If I wanted to end it before thatdate, I would have had to pay about $200. If I cancelled after the 16th, they would only charge me for the part of June that I used, and the balance would be credited to me. I had to wait until that date, while putting up with a defective phone that continuously malfunctioned, On June 18th, 2011, I began using Metro PCS. I was told by Metro that they would automatically contact T Mobile to cancel the contract and transfer the phone number to the new line. On June 19th, T MOBILE sent me a bill for an entire month. I called billing to dispute why they were doing this, and they maintained that I had no choice but to pay it. I paid the $68, in hopes that they would never bother me again, and I could peacefully go on using and paying for the new phone, ONLY. This was not the case! I received another bill in July. Then, I received another bill in August 16. I have just received a bill for the month of September, as well. Additionally, I continue to receive monthly bills, threat letters, and harassing phone calls on a daily basis. I RECEIVED 2 CALLS ON MY CELL PHONE TODAY. I have not used their service after June 18th, yet they continue to charge me. I would like them to leave me alone, clear my credit report, if they have tarnished it, and return any payment that I was unjustly charged. |
