TeleNetwork Frontier Falsely Terminated, laid off, fired out of the blue, broke and unable to provide for my kids San Marcos, Texas
2nd of Jan, 2012 by User143596
TeleNetwork was a great company to work for at first..they worked with me on my schedule, when I needed time off they would give it to me and I even had a chance to try out the overnight shift..that was until they hired too many people. The call volume got too high to handle and they started mass hiring to handle the call flow. Some people didn't make it through training because they thought some of the people on the teams were so rude and didn't offer any help whatsoever when they needed it. After the call volume eased off I noticed they were offering early leave A LOT, which is what they call it when you can take off early without a penalty. It became a daily thing, hours were hard to come by and started getting cut. However, I was a great employee, and a lot of my customers were happy with the service I provided. When I first started working for TeleNetwork, I received a phone from them after buying my own equipment needed to hook up the phone. As I went through training, I received the phone that I needed in order to start taking calls from the company, but it didn't work. Since I couldn't take calls to complete my training and move on by myself, I had to ship it off and wait for another one. I had been working on this phone for a few months before the cabling in the headset started glitching to where if I turned my head one way the customers couldn't hear me talking, if I turned my head another way just slightly, it was like there was a short circuit in the wire or something. I kept typing this out in the team chat on a pretty regular basis and even e-mailed and messaged my SUP about it a few times so I could get it switched out, at which point they said they would. However, I never received the equipment to perform my job properly. One day out of the blue I received a message from a Supervisor, who wasn't my own, who I didn't even really know telling me to log out and two hours later I was randomly fired. I did learn from a fellow co-worker later that I wasn't the only one this happened to. Since I just got married in November, RIGHT before I got fired, I started worrying about how my husband and I would pay for the house that our four kids we have together would be living in. I decided to file unemployment, which I did right after I got fired. My unemployment claim was filed on November the 13th, 2011, and is still pending today, January 3rd, 2012. As of now, we are short on food, late on rent, and wondering how we are going to make it. I spoke with the unemployment agency and they declared they are "still waiting a response from the employer". This is ridiculous. First, I'm fired out of the blue for no reason, then when we are on the verge of losing our house, I can't even get the unemployment wages that I earned. Don't work for this company, because when it comes down to it and they're ready to start letting people go, it doesn't matter how good of an employee you are (I was even promoted before I got fired). You will be fired out of the blue and in shock wondering what you did wrong and how you are going to feed your family.
