Many times over the last year "young adults" have shown up at my door asking me to buy magazines from them. They each had their own little speach that they cleverly delivered and was well rehearsed. My husband and I was always polite and I once even gave one of them something to drink because it was extremely hot that day! We never bought anything from any of them though. They were very persistent, but we are on a "fixed" income and magazines are not a priority to us. One day while going over our bank statement I saw a transaction of $65.00 that was made to "Topline Marketing" and neither me nor my husband had a clue what it was. After contacting the bank we were told it was a transaction made elctronically and neither of our cards were swiped. The bank did a little research and found out which card it was made on and all of that. I found a company website online called "Topline Marketing" and contacted them. They claimed they had nothing to do with purchases and that they only sale and distribute to other companies. They could never explain how this transaction occurred, but addmitted that we were not the only ones who contacted them with this complaint. In the end there was nothing left to do except file a fraudulent claim with our bank. We have yet to recieve any answers on how this happened. I do not want to let this go, but I am unsure of how to continue my research. I am still very unhappy that this company is not taking responsibility for stealing my money.
