Toyota
Toyota My 2006 Toyota Sienna is Trouble.... car dealer says it is my fault... NOT Internet
4th of Jul, 2011 by User764667
In December 2006 I went shopping for a new car because we really needed one and needed one with space and since we had not had a new car in awhile decided to go new. Being under the impression that Toyota was the safest car on the road, I fell in love with the Sienna and we bought it from Manfredi Auto Dealers in Staten Island in NY. The car ran fine, gave it the regular oil changes and wiper blades and brakes (actually had to get new brakes about 2 months after getting the car) but first after the car hit about 48,000 miles the engine light came on and we had it put on a machine at Pep Boys because when you bring it to Toyota you pay an arm and a leg. I had a warrantied battery that was leaking acid and they said the battery was free but to put it in would cost 75.00. Then I had to buy the blades for the windshields and they costed like 50.00 and then they wanted another 50 to put them on. I took them to a gas station and the guy snapped them on in literally 4 mins. So, if I can avoid going there I do........anyway it turned out it was the gas/air sensor and was going to be about 5-600 to fix. The man said Toyota should fix for free because that should not be going with such low mileage. Then recently, I was at a red light and was hit from behind by someone who was going about 35 MPH and went strait into the back of my car and demolished the back of the car. Had someone been in the third seat they would have been seriously injured because the airbags NEVER deployed anywhere in the car. Mind you I had my seatbelt on thank god, but still hit the steering wheel and those airbags nbever deployed either but now the airbag light is on since the car has been fixed and the insurance company said I have to bring it to Toyota for them to put it on the machine to see why it is not working but they are charging me 100.00 to just put it on the diagnostic machine never mind fixing it......then if they determine it was from the accident then the insurance company will pay. Not only did I receive injuries in the accident, my car is still not fixed right and now I am stuck paying and they will never own up to them not deploying.
