I received a recall letter from Ford to have my cruise control repaired on my van. I drove it to Tuttle-Click Ford as this was the nearest dealer. At the Service department, I had to wait over twenty minutes for a "service rep" to see me, even though at least six were standing around. Once I got a representative to help me, I stated that I wanted my horn checked out as it stopped working. I signed a paper stating I would not be charged over $100. Okay with me, I just wanted my horn fixed while I was there anyway. BIG MISTAKE. I left the van and was told I would be called in two hours. Three hours later the representative told me that my horn relay was bad including the horns and it would be $550.00 to fix it. No, I disagreed and told him I would be down to pick it up. An hour later I showed up at the dealership. I had to stand in line again, twenty minutes, to be told to report to the cashier. The cashier informs me that my van is not ready and would be ready within thirty minutes. I left and came back an hour later to pick the van up. The cashier tells me that it will be $99.95 for the diagnosis. I paid, but I was madder than a wet hen. When I walked out to get my van, I decided to go the parts department. I asked for and paid for the horn relay, a total of $46.00. I could not pay the parts department, I had to pay the cashier. Back at the cashier, I told him I am paying for the part $46.00. I also told him that it was a scam to think they would charge $500.00 labor to put in a $46.00 part. After standing around for another half hour while the lot boy found my van I drove home. I put the relay in myself in twenty minutes. Horn works fine. I will never go back to any place that wants to rip me off.
