I head you this warning. Do not let your loved ones get Hospice Care from VITAS Innovative Hospice Care. They are money hungry, and do not care about you or your loved ones peacful passing; they just want your MONEY. I was bullied by co-workers, failed to get access to proper Medical Care myself, after swallowing difficulty and breathing problems after an MVA in the "field" working for them. Then I was terminated due to having too many "Medical Procedures" as a staff member. I wrote up the General Manager ANDREW CUTLER in an Incident report for failing to let me seek medical attention; after I did this I was suspended and Fired. their MOTTO is "Take Care of Each other" and Patients and Families come first at VITAS, LOL, can assure you this is the biggest joke you will ever hear. they always used to say "Nobody should die alone" depends on who the company is.... Truly, take my word for this. RN

lol i am haunted by my hospice expierience i dont think i will ever get over it, my father pased a year ago at the embracing hospice in ga i cant even describe the nightmare

This was 10 yrs ago but my mom was not terminal yet was put in Vita's hospice by her court appointed professional guardian after repeated negligence and abuse in the nursing homes she had been in. She was only there for back rehab she was 65 yrs of age . Mom was dead within 6 weeks of hospice care. They denied her medical care for anything but provided her with 20 different meds mostly antipsychotics, antidepressents, sleeping pills and morphine. They made a false diagnosis and lied to make her fit the critia for hospice. One of the signing doctors who signed her terminal had never seen my mom. The other knew she was not teminal with what they said she had because a test was done the day before placing her in hospice. Of course the test was negative. Mom was murdered till this day she has had no justice and those responsiable have never been held accountable. The court who's protection she was under failed her as many others in this court. Vita's is all about money and not the patient. Vita's has been scamming and frauding for many years as the reason it has become such a big business. It seems that it can buy itself out of any situation.
