This post is submitted anonymously, because we do property requires the same amount of information it requires to receive a loan. If you are moving from out of town, you may be unfamiliar with the extreme breech of privacy required to get a lease from this company. Further, they will not provide you with any personal information protection, and when you ask about it they will treat it as alternatively both irrelevant and your problem. As far as I can tell, even with your living history, full credit history, bank account numbers, and references they have no plan in place to keep that information safe -- at all. This should have been a warning to me. In fairness I feel I should present a balance: Pros of we do property management: Interesting apartments. Details are fresh and in great locations. They claim to have a revitalize-Pittsburgh bent, which was appealing (it turns out that couldn't care less) Cons: Everything else. Construction in the apartment I lived in was shoddy. What does shoddy mean? For example, if you have to heat a home, you want to be sure the windows are sealed properly, and maybe if you're ambitious, you also try to install windows that are thicker than a few millimeters. Here, you have neither -- even with the federal initiatives giving discounts for energy efficient windows. Now, you could say I'm being picky, and it's true, I'm just bitter about how much my heating bill is. How about kitchen drawer covers falling off? That stuff happens too. The real negative though is the staff. Have you ever stolen anything? They assume you have. Need maintenance? Whatever it is, they'll blame you (seriously, they will always try to blame you). Someone coming to fix something? Hope you're ready, cuz they ain't callin' ahead. Guess when you will get prompt responses? When they want more money from you. I can't tell you how shoddy this company is and how obnoxious they are. The worst kind of self-righteous people, who are actually just money-grubbing slum lords like anyone else. So much for revitalizing Pittsburgh!
